Distance learning courses allow you to complete an entire degree or at least major parts of a degree from the comfort of your home and at your own pace. There is an array of different degrees available to pursue via distance learning including the likes of Associates of Arts, Associate in Applied Science, Associate in Occupational Studies, Online Certification, Online Bachelor’s Degree, Online Master’s Degree, Online Doctorate Degree and Religious Studies Degree.
The Associates of Arts degree involves studying humanities. Finished coursework for an Associates of Arts degree is usually then relocated to a Bachelor’s Degree. An Associates of Arts degree is more advanced than a diploma alone and is therefore a great option for those wishing to further themselves in their career.
An Associate in Applied Science degree is often opted for by students who do not wish to continue on to their Bachelor’s Degree, in fact an Associate in Applied Science degree can only be applied towards a Bachelor’s degree at certain schools.
Associate in Occupational Studies is a degree that has been created for those in vocational careers only; it therefore has no submissions towards further studies.
Online Certification is an all round work-field related certification and works as an award to prove that those that endure such a course have the skills required for a certain line of work. However, on this particular course you don’t earn a degree on finishing the certification, and therefore don’t require one in order to be enrolled.Online courses provide those that complete them with a certification stating that you posses certain skills and gives you a qualification that is recognised by employers.
The online Bachelor’s Degree is divided into two areas, the Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science. These degrees are available online and cover fields such as teaching, special education, government, psychology, sociology, business, computer information systems, and Web design.
The online Master’s degree is similar to the Bachelor’s degree and again is separated into two areas, the Master of Arts and the Master of Science. It does however take an additional one, two, or three years to be awarded with an online Master’s degree. You can however be expected to earn everything spent on the course back through putting the skills learned to use. Master’s Degree holders often earn a higher wage.
The Religious Studies Degree will aid students in advancing in any religion-related area, this could be teaching theology at a high school or college, taking on employment for a non-profit organization such as a church, writing and editing articles and publications for religious groups or alternatively providing services for the church ministry.
